Peter joined the SBSK board in December 2024 and is looking forward to working with a great team. Born and raised in Houston, TX, Peter moved to Austin in 1996 to attend the University of Texas. While at UT, he found many great loves in the forms of Texas football, good community and friends, and his eventual wife.  He graduated in 2000 with a BA in Business Administration as a finance major and in 2007 with an MBA from McCombs School of Business. He has worked in finance, marketing, and sales roles for technology and healthcare companies like Motorola/Freescale, Covidien, and St.Jude Medical/Abbott. He joined St. Jude Medical (now Abbott Laboratories) in 2010 where he currently works as the financial controller in the medical devices division.

Peter enjoys cheering for the Astros and the Longhorns, and spending time outdoors camping, hunting & fishing with friends and his family. In addition to his wife Katie, he has three children Leah (21), Annie (19), and Walt (16). He is an active member of the Anglican Church (Christ Church) and has been involved supporting the SBSK organization since 2002 when it was known as Community New Start. Peter sees his commitment to SBSK as an extension of his church’s mission to serve and provide opportunities to learn in a loving environment that shares the good news of the gospel.
